Continuance
Continuance is an ongoing process of creating minimalist sculpture influenced by religious sources. I place these works in natural locations and construct them using organic materials to recreate a primal setting influenced by spiritually charged art work to highlight the power of wilderness.
The use of circles is done in reference to the simplicity of neolithic and megalithic art such as Stonehenge, the Nazca lines, and Gilgal Refa'im. These structures produce questions in the eyes of contemporary viewers because of their size and the mystery that surrounds them.
This project intends to highlight the power of wild spaces and inspire others to find that value for themselves. While the circle is not a difficult shape to construct the process of returning to nature and acknowledging what it has to offer us is the true goal of these sculptures.

A photographic essay exploring Hammonasset State Park and the variety of natural components that work together to form the salt marsh. Fueled by an interest in conservation and the exploration of the natural world I chose to focus on an endangered ecosystem. This project aims to convey the tranquility and spiritual energy that can be felt in this unique location and inspire an interest in preservation in others.
